Falling into Memory

Like a falling Starfish
my spirit
is
d r i f t i n g
from an Ancient place

like a memory Returning
my Heart
is
w a i t i n g

my soul
b e c o m i n g

Like a sound
f a l l i n g
beneath a wave

I can no longer hear you

Like a dream
made from dust
and woven into symbols
you speak
in glass-blue tears
and I Carry
the wound
of
m e m o r y
as I
awaken

Wishing you a quiet day of prose and poetry..and music..
and a night by candles, feather quills, old books..and the soft glow of memory

Have a sparkling, creative day..

Such beautiful haunting words and deliciously eerie as I decided that today will be a day of simple quiet reflection spent savoring memories...once I pry myself away from the computer ;) Thank you for the inspiration.

I adore starfish, the way they can be reborn after injury, the perfect star. This was so poignant! Blessings.

I love starfish too. Haunting words - they took me away to another place.

Lovely post! Sammie and I have happened upon starfish washed ashore and picked them up. Even more amazing is seeing them in the tide pools alive and moving in nature~

When my kids were little we vacationed in Nova Scotia. I was so lucky to find numerous Star Fish only I killed them unknowingly .Years later after learning about them I felt terrible.I will never ever do that again. They are magical just like your poem Kiki. Thanks for the inspiring post.

I remember seeing blue starfish in Rarotonga. It was truly magical. I did not ever forget them. This post reminded me of that trip when I was a teenager.
Have a sparkly weekend.
Keep smiling.
